Project Overview:
Thrillmania is a special feature created for San Francisco Giants legendary player Will Clark. The video, which highlights Clark’s remarkable career and contributions, won the 2023 NorCal NATAS Emmy Award for Outstanding Sports Story. My role involved crafting motion graphics and animations that brought the narrative to life and celebrated Clark’s legacy.

My Role:
I was responsible for designing and animating the fictional cartoon scenes, recreating the Saturday Morning Cartoon style popular in the 1980’s. This included creating dynamic animations that complemented the storytelling and underscored the significance of Clark’s abilities.

Challenges & Solutions:
The main challenge was to create visuals that were both impactful and respectful, reflecting Clark’s legendary status while maintaining a professional and engaging presentation. I achieved this by carefully balancing dramatic animations with subtle design elements that highlighted key moments in Clark’s career.

Outcome & Impact:
The Thrillmania video was well-received, culminating in an Emmy Award win for Outstanding Sports Story. This project marked my first Emmy win after three nominations, recognizing the effectiveness and creativity of the motion graphics and animation work.
