For over 25 years I have been practicing, recording, and touring as a drummer in various bands, side projects, and solo endeavors. Music is a huge part of my life that has taken me on an incredible journey that will stretch long into the future. I have appeared on over a dozen recordings (LP, EP, Singles, etc.) since 1998. I have toured east, west and south, playing in 7 countries on 2 continents. I got my start at an early age in Los Angeles, before I played my first show when I was 14, and I’ve been at it ever since.
Drummers are never in need of a band for long. I’ve been in a lot of bands, and I haven’t even been in that many bands. Maybe ten, maybe twenty. I’ve played close to 900 shows. Maybe 1,000. Not a lot of those bands made it very far. But each one tried. I’ve never been married to a genre. I will play along to anything. Even the pops and squeaks.
For over ten years I have been the drummer for the San Francisco doom band, Brume. In that time we have toured the US and Europe, worked with iconic producers like Billy Anderson and Sonny Diperri, and released some of my proudest recordings to date. Signed to Magnetic Eye Records, a subdivision of Prophecy, the band had achieved high praise both from fans and critics alike. We have shared stages with Yob, High On Fire, Big Business, and countless other great players. You can follow Brume at tap.bio/@Brume
I also play in a brand new band called HUMANHEAD, a post-hardcore group formed in 2022. We recorded our debut EP with Scott Evans and released it in June of 2024. I think it’s some of my best work. You can check it out at linktr.ee/humanhead.
Recently I had the opportunity to join my favorite band in San Francisco, Disastroid, who lost their drummer of over 12 years (he’s fine, he just quit). Though they are mighty shoes to fill, I have been working hard on their old material. We’ve come up with some new stuff too. Shows soon. You can check out their latest record here.
Stay tuned to keep up with my noisy nonsense. I am always looking for players and coming up with excuses to get back in the studio or back on stage. You can follow my musical escapades at inktr.ee/alsointheband. I post about upcoming shows, tour ephemera, and all things drum related. You can also find cool merch, exclusive videos, and other goodies to keep you satisfied.
UPDATE: Do the extreme shittyness of Mark Zuckerberg and his ethically impotent META I have removed my Instagram profile and deactivated all my accounts. Social media as we know today it is a cancer on our increasingly disconnected world and I no longer wish to participate in the exploitative business of brain rot content and media illiteracy. Whatever value I thought was associated with a Meta or X account is not worth supporting two of the richest and most disgusting people on this planet.
Did I mention I run a Record Label?
